About Manu's Cottage Décor
After frequently getting asked how I got into making furniture, I had to actually think about it for a moment. What was the real reason that I started this adventure?
I have always tried to figure things out for myself, if it was trying to fix my broken washer (with no success) or attempting to fix the air conditioner on my son’s car. I have tried many different occupations over the years, the result of not being able to really have a career with five children. About 5 years ago, my oldest daughter bought her first home and needed a dining room table. Money was tight, so we decided this could be something I would try to build for her. As a result, it turned out to be a pretty good-looking table and we enjoyed many family meals on it. Creating something from scratch and seeing the finished product is quite an experience, made even better when my customers have a vision and I can create it for them.
